Junub Classifieds — How we use cookies and tracking technologies

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable core features such as account login, session management, and security. Without these cookies, services you have requested — such as staying logged in — cannot be provided. These cookies do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing purposes.

These cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make — such as your preferred language, display settings, and whether you have dismissed notifications — and to provide enhanced, more personalised features. They may also be used to provide services you have asked for, such as remembering your search filters.
Analytics & Performance Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use the Platform — for example, which pages are visited most often, how long users spend on each page, and any error messages encountered. This information is aggregated and anonymous and is used to improve how the Platform works.
Advertising & Targeting Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant to you and your interests. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They are usually placed by advertising networks with our permission.

Authentication Token (access_token)
Provider: Junub Classifieds
Type: First-party / Local Storage
Purpose: Stores your session access token to keep you logged into your account between page loads. Expires at the end of your session or after 7 days.
Refresh Token (refresh_token)
Provider: Junub Classifieds
Type: First-party / Local Storage
Purpose: Allows the Platform to automatically renew your login session without requiring you to re-enter your credentials, for up to 7 days.
CSRF Token
Provider: Junub Classifieds
Type: First-party / Session Cookie
Purpose: Protects your account and our Platform against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. Required for secure form submissions.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Provider: Cloudflare, Inc.
Type: Third-party / Session Cookie
Purpose: A privacy-first CAPTCHA alternative that verifies you are a human user without intrusive image challenges. Used on login, registration, and contact forms to prevent bot abuse.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"), to understand how users interact with our Platform. GA4 sets the following cookies:

Type: Third-party / Persistent
Purpose: Registers a unique ID to generate statistical data about how visitors use the Platform. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_[MEASUREMENT_ID]
Type: Third-party / Persistent
Purpose: Used by GA4 to persist session state. Expires after 2 years.
_gid
Type: Third-party / Persistent
Purpose: Registers a unique ID to generate statistical data about how visitors use the Platform. Expires after 24 hours.
Google Analytics data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google Analytics collects the following information on our behalf:
Pages visited and time spent on each page
How you arrived at the Platform (e.g., via search engine, direct link, or referral)
Your approximate geographic location (country and city level, not precise address)
Device type, operating system, and browser type
Interactions with search, ads listings, and navigation elements
Session counts and frequency of visits
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our Platform. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to our Platform and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Platform and/or other sites on the internet.

Provider: Google (doubleclick.net)
Type: Third-party / Persistent
Purpose: Used by Google DoubleClick to register and report the actions of a user after viewing or clicking an advertisement, with the purpose of measuring the efficacy of an ad and presenting targeted ads. Expires after 13 months.
DSID
Provider: Google (doubleclick.net)
Type: Third-party / Persistent
Purpose: Used to identify a signed-in user on non-Google sites in order to serve personalised ads. Expires after 2 weeks.
test_cookie
Provider: Google (doubleclick.net)
Type: Third-party / Session
Purpose: Used to check if the user's browser supports cookies. Expires after 15 minutes.
You have a number of options to opt out of personalised advertising:
Visit Google Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com to manage your Google ad preferences.
Use the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out tool at https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
Use the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-out tool at https://optout.aboutads.info.
Enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings (note: not all advertisers honour this signal).
Install a browser extension such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger to block tracking cookies.

Please note that strictly necessary cookies (such as authentication tokens and security cookies) cannot be disabled through our Platform. These are required for the core functionality of the site. If you delete or block these cookies, you will be signed out and will need to log in again on your next visit.
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. Our Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals as there is no industry standard for how websites should respond to such signals. We continue to monitor developments in this area.
Cookie data collected on our Platform is used solely for the purposes described in this policy — that is, to operate the Platform, improve our services, measure analytics, and deliver advertising through our authorized partners (Google AdSense).
We share limited, non-personally identifiable cookie data with our advertising partners (such as cookie IDs and page-level context) strictly for the purpose of serving ads. We do not share your name, email address, phone number, or any directly identifying information in connection with advertising cookies.
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies and tracking technologies we use, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this policy.
