Junub Classifieds — Your rights and responsibilities
In these Terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:
To use the Platform, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age;
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
Not be barred from using the Platform under applicable law or a prior suspension or termination of your account by us;
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain it as such.
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during registration, including your name, email address, and/or phone number, and to keep this information current at all times.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password. You must not share your account with any other person or allow any other person to access the Platform using your credentials. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately at privacy@junubclassifieds.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
Each individual or business entity may maintain only one active account. We reserve the right to suspend or delete duplicate accounts without prior notice.
By submitting a Listing, you represent and warrant that:
You have full legal authority to sell, offer, or advertise the item or service described;
The Listing is accurate, complete, and not misleading in any way;
The Listing does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party;
The item, service, or content described is legal under the laws of South Sudan and any other applicable jurisdiction;
You will honour any agreement or commitment made to another User in connection with your Listing.
The Platform supports a broad range of listing categories including, but not limited to:
Goods and Products: Physical items offered for sale or exchange.
Services: Professional, technical, domestic, or any other services offered for hire.
Employment and Job Advertisements: Vacancies, contract roles, or other employment opportunities posted by employers or recruiters.
CV and Professional Listings: Personal professional profiles, resumes, or skills advertisements posted by individuals seeking employment or clients.
Real Estate and Rentals: Properties offered for sale, rent, or lease.
Other Categories: Any additional listing categories introduced on the Platform from time to time.
By posting a CV listing, you acknowledge that:
Your CV listing will be publicly visible to all Platform visitors, including unregistered users;
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information contained in your CV listing;
You should only include information you are comfortable making publicly available;
Junub Classifieds does not verify or endorse the qualifications or claims made in any CV listing;
Employers or clients who contact you through the Platform do so independently, and any resulting employment or engagement is a matter solely between you and that party.
Employers and recruiters posting job advertisements represent and warrant that:
The vacancy or opportunity described is genuine and currently available;
The listing does not discriminate on grounds prohibited by applicable law;
No fees will be charged to applicants in connection with the application process unless clearly disclosed and lawful;
Contact details provided are accurate and monitored.
Listings may be subject to expiry periods as notified on the Platform from time to time. We reserve the right to remove, edit, or decline to publish any Listing at our sole discretion and without prior notice, particularly where we have reason to believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
Registered Sellers may create a Shopfront — a public-facing business profile page — to represent their store, company, or professional identity on the Platform.
By creating a Shopfront, you agree that all content displayed is accurate and does not mislead users. You must not:
Use a business name or logo that belongs to or is confusingly similar to another person or entity;
Include false contact information or impersonate another business;
Use the Shopfront to promote goods or services prohibited under these Terms;
Include content that is defamatory, offensive, or harmful to third parties.
Shopfront content is publicly visible to all Platform visitors, including unregistered users. You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data published on your Shopfront complies with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any Shopfront that violates these Terms, without liability to you and without prior notice.
Users must not post, upload, share, or otherwise make available on the Platform any content or engage in any conduct that:
Is illegal under the laws of South Sudan or any applicable jurisdiction;
Involves counterfeit, stolen, or fraudulently obtained goods;
Advertises weapons, ammunition, explosives, or any item whose sale is restricted or prohibited by law;
Promotes or facilitates drug trafficking, human trafficking, or any other criminal activity;
Is pornographic, obscene, or sexually explicit;
Is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or abusive toward any individual or group;
Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right;
Contains viruses, malware, or any other malicious code;
Involves spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or pyramid schemes;
Misrepresents the identity of the poster or impersonates another person or entity;
Involves price manipulation, bid rigging, or any other fraudulent commercial practice;
Collects or harvests personal data of other users without their consent;
Interferes with, disrupts, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its infrastructure;
Violates the privacy, dignity, or rights of any other person.
Junub Classifieds is a classifieds platform. We facilitate connections between Sellers and Buyers but are not a party to any Transaction conducted between Users. We do not buy, sell, inspect, or take title to any goods or services listed on the Platform.
All Transactions are conducted entirely at the risk of the Users involved. You are solely responsible for:
Evaluating the legitimacy and suitability of any Listing before responding or transacting;
Verifying the identity, qualifications, and reliability of other Users;
Agreeing on, and honoring, the terms of any Transaction including price, delivery, and payment;
Resolving any disputes that arise directly with the other party.
Junub Classifieds does not guarantee that any Listing will result in a Transaction, that a Transaction will be completed successfully, or that any goods or services advertised are as described by the Seller. We strongly encourage Users to exercise caution, conduct due diligence, and meet in safe, public locations when transacting in person.
Basic listing on the Platform may be offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce fees for premium features, promoted listings, featured Shopfronts, or other paid services at any time, with advance notice provided on the Platform.
Where fees apply, they will be clearly disclosed before you commit to a paid service. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for any fees charged by third-party payment processors in connection with transactions between Users.
The Junub Classifieds Platform, including its design, software, trademarks, logos, and all proprietary content created by us, is owned by Junub Classifieds and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
You retain ownership of the Content you submit to the Platform. However, by posting Content, you grant Junub Classifieds a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. This licence ends when you delete your Content or your account, except where your Content has been shared with others.
You must not post Content that belongs to another person without their explicit permission. If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed by a Listing or other content on the Platform, please contact us at privacy@junubclassifieds.com with full details.
The Platform displays advertisements, including those served through Google AdSense and direct third-party advertising arrangements. These advertisements may be for goods, services, employment opportunities, or other offerings provided by parties unrelated to Junub Classifieds.
Junub Classifieds does not endorse, verify, or accept responsibility for the content of third-party advertisements or for the goods, services, or practices of any advertiser. Your interactions with advertisers — including any purchases, applications, or agreements — are solely between you and the advertiser.
Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized advertisements based on your browsing activity. You may manage your advertising preferences through your browser settings or via Google's Ad Settings.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
Junub Classifieds is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, or appropriateness of any Listing or other Content posted by Users. We do not verify the identity of Users or the quality, safety, or legality of goods and services advertised. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from any Transaction or interaction between Users.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Junub Classifieds, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Junub Classifieds and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (i) your use of the Platform; (ii) your Content; (iii) your violation of these Terms; or (iv) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@junubclassifieds.com. Closing your account will result in the removal of your profile and active listings, subject to our data retention obligations as described in the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time and without prior notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or if your account has been inactive for an extended period.
Upon termination of your account, your right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall continue to apply, including Sections 10, 13, and 16.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform or any feature thereof at any time and without liability to you. We also reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on the Platform.
Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to these Terms take effect constitutes your binding acceptance of those changes.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Sudan. Any matters not governed by South Sudanese law may be supplemented by reference to generally accepted principles of contract and commercial law.
In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting Junub Classifieds at privacy@junubclassifieds.com. We will endeavour to resolve any complaint or dispute within 30 days of receipt.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Sudan. If you are accessing the Platform from outside South Sudan, you agree that South Sudanese law governs and that you submit to the jurisdiction of South Sudanese courts.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Junub Classifieds regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
No Agency
Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and Junub Classifieds.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, or civil unrest.
Language
These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict between an English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
